4 small Barlett or Sunsprite pears
9 inch pie shell
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
You may buy a pre-made 9″ crust or make your own. I use the Crisco Pie Crust Recipe
Peal and cut the pears lengthwise into halves (or quarters) and core. Apply a thin layer of Harper’s Harvest Pear Mincemeat to the bottom of the shell (3-4 Tbls). Arrange pears cut side down in shell.
Beat sugar, flour, butter, eggs and vanilla until smooth then pour over pears. Bake at 325 degrees for 60-65 minutes (until middle sets). Serve with ice cream. Drizzle with Harper’s Harvest Caramel Spice Pear Butter or Pear Huney!
Variation: substitute Mandarin Pear Mincemeat for Pear Mincemeat. Top with sliced orange after baking.
